Smyrna's Assembly Hall has been a lot of things in it's long history. Originally built between 1910 and 1915, it became the Sam Davis Lodge meeting site in the 1920's. In early 1941 it became evident that Smyrna was in for a boom when the United States Airforce announced the plans for the Smyrna Air Base. 

As a way to help cope with the very quick increase in demand for services the town leadership at the time purchased three buildings: the current fire station, what became the current town hall and the Assembly Hall building. From there the building operated as Town Hall until the move to the current building on Lowry Street. After the move, the building was leased to various groups, churches, and businesses by the town for use until the 80's and 90's where it was used as a local courthouse until it's renewal to it's current usage as local event space.
