Celebrating Your Wins

I've come to love this cute, retro-futuristic space girl.  I especially like the double bubble helmet:  One for her head and another for her gorgeous Afro.  (I don't know what vacuum does to your hair, and I don't really want to find out.)  At first, I figured that this was just a little drawing done for fun, like "Red Finesse," but over time I started to see that there was more to it.  This happens a lot with me; I often don't see the true meaning of a piece until sometime after I've finished it.  When I look at it now, here's what I see:

This is a woman who's just achieved something great:  She's reached the moon - not Earth's moon, but one much more distant, maybe in a distant part of space.  Whatever moon this is, it's hers now.  Now, she's looking out to the stars to see where she's going to explore next.  But first, she's taking a moment to celebrate her win right here.

I think it's an important thing to do.  We get so caught up in what we want to do, *have* to do, and wish we could do, that sometimes we forget to appreciate what we're already doing and what we already have done.  I believe we really need to take a moment to do that from time to time.

    In-Store Pick-Up (Preferred)

    • An email will be sent when your order has been fulfilled (usually within 1-3 business days). Please bring your confirmation email when picking up your order. If you would like to do a curbside pickup please call or email to arrange pickup before attempting to pick up your order.

    Shipping (Continental US Only)

    • We’re a small studio with only a little retail space and a focus on our local community. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to ship outside the Continental US at this time.
    • Orders are shipped typically once a week. You will receive an email once your order has shipped with any tracking numbers that have been provided.
    • Shipping rates will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Returns

    • We accept returns within 30 days of receipt of the order. To be eligible for a refund item must be unworn/unused and in original condition. At this time customers will unfortunately be responsible for any return shipping unless otherwise noted by customer service.
