Sometimes the most beautiful creations begin with what the world leaves behind.

After Hurricane Nate, Susan Waldrop began collecting pieces of wood that washed ashore on Dauphin Island. These weathered fragments became the foundation for a series of artwork where nature and imagination came together.

By carefully lifting thin layers from the wood and incorporating them onto canvas, Susan allowed each unique piece to guide the design. Her vision was to create castles floating above the sea, but the wood itself helped shape each magical landscape.

Dreamery by the Sea invites us into a world where anything feels possible: where castles drift above waves, imagination takes flight, and ordinary pieces of the past become something joyful and new.

A reminder that sometimes discovery comes from looking at what others might overlook, and seeing the possibility waiting within.

  • Shipping

    In-Store Pick-Up (Preferred)

    • An email will be sent when your order has been fulfilled (usually within 1-3 business days). Please bring your confirmation email when picking up your order. If you would like to do a curbside pickup please call or email to arrange pickup before attempting to pick up your order.

    Shipping (Continental US Only)

    • We’re a small studio with only a little retail space and a focus on our local community. Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to ship outside the Continental US at this time.
    • Orders are shipped typically once a week. You will receive an email once your order has shipped with any tracking numbers that have been provided.
    • Shipping rates will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

  • Returns

    • We accept returns within 30 days of receipt of the order. To be eligible for a refund item must be unworn/unused and in original condition. At this time customers will unfortunately be responsible for any return shipping unless otherwise noted by customer service.
