Collection: Maryanne VanDyke

Maryanne VanDyke, Local Author of "Hugs of Happiness" and the "Dog Tail Detective Series" has joined T&V Artist Gallery to display watercolor and oil in both landscape and humorous animal renderings.
Maryanne began her interest at a early age while participating in her mother's classes of teaching china painting. Moving to Phoenix, she studied tole painting on metal trash cans. Then having retired to Bentonville, Arkansas, she became obsessed with oils.  At the age of 80 she moved to Smyrna and wrote her three "doggie " novels.
Recently, she began studying watercolor at the Senior Activity Center in Smyrna with teacher, Sandee Fritcher. She has recently published her fourth book, a whimsical compilation of her joyful animal collection. Maryanne looks forward to furthering the art community in some small way as she begins her showings at Trellis & Vine and looks forward to seeing friends, old and new.
