We have the answer to your Art Express Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the event cost?
The event itself is completely free to attend if you so choose. We definitely recommend spending some money to support an artist or two, or grabbing a VIP ticket to help us continue the event if you have the ability to.
Where should I park?
There is parking next to the Depot, and across the roundabout on Front St. You could also make use of the new track crossing sidewalks and grab a spot at Zama Park or across Lowry from The Print Shop. Additionally, Trellis & Vine has some parking available although it is limited. We suggest grabbing a parking spot early if you can.
How long will the Art Express run?
The event runs from 5pm to 8pm with a suggested full walk through time of an hour and a half. This gives you plenty of time to chat and mingle with all the artists and get back to T&V to grab your sticker before the event is over.
What should I talk about with the artists?
If you've never talked art with an artist before we definitely recommend it. Here are a few starter questions you can use if you're not sure what to say to get conversation going:
- What is your favorite part about this piece?
- If you could see this piece up for public viewing, where would be your dream place to view it?
- What are some of your inspirations behind this piece and how did they affect your process when you were creating it?
