Hi I'm James Wingate.

Photography is a lifelong passion for me.

I'm drawn to Street Photography for the candid moments that capture the dynamic energy of everyday life, and to a wide range of architectural textures and shapes. Capturing these images helps preserve a post of the human experience.

I've always been fascinated with Macro Photography highlighting the hidden textures and patterns of nature. By focusing on these small details, I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the intricate beauty of the natural world.

I also play with Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). Purposely moving the camera creates dynamic images that highlight the harmonies and tensions between patterns, colors, and textures. Through intentional camera movement, I can experiment with the boundaries between reality and abstraction.

These prints are made with archival paper and ink.
